Hello bloggers! I’ve been working for Lindy for just over two years now, starting off with mail order and now helping with the Workshop bookings. It’s an exciting environment to work in as there is always something new arriving, and watching Lindy create new designs is always inspiring.
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve caught sight of some of the Wonky Cakes Lindy is decorating for her new DVD’s. Loved the Indian Sari inspired cake, and the colour scheme for the turquoise, white and pink one is gorgeous. Lindy is using five sets of new cutters which I think will be very popular. It’s always an exciting time for the team when Lindy creates new products, and the DVD will be no exception.
I’ll let you know when I’ve seen the jewellery cakes!

Just got off the phone with CalJava in California. Being from Vancouver, BC I was excited when I saw on your website that Lindy would be teaching somewhere not that far away. However, both your website and theirs said dates were TBA. I see the dates just went up on your site a short time ago and were not on theirs. When I called they told me that the class had been cancelled as there was not enough interest…probably something to do with the fact that they never had dates up. Anyways, this is very very sad as I was excited at the chance…looks like I might have to fly to Hartford, CT (mind you, might be just as cheap to fly to the UK). Any chance that somthing else might transpire in Canada or the Western US any time soon?
Hi Jennifer
It is a shame that my California trip has been cancelled, I fancied a bit of sunshine and since I’ve never been to the West Coast I was really looking forward to meeting new people and seeing new things – I love to travel! I am surprised that there were not enough students as usually my classes fill within days of being announced – I was told that one class I taught in the Netherlands recently filled in 24 hours! However advertising and marketing for teaching trips has to be done locally so is really out of my hands. Do come and join me in Hartford, CT it’ll be a fun filled few days…….nothing else on the cards yet for Western US or Canada but if you know of anyone that is willing to act as host in your region why not ask them to get in touch!
Thank you Lindy. Perhaps I will speak with my cake decorating instructor at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts about putting together something, it would be awesome to have you out here on the West Coast of Canada.
That said, I am planning a trip to the UK from July 1-6 and want to take your Novelty Cakes class. Is there room?
Hi Jennifer
I’d love to visit the West Coast of Canada too! Regards our Novelty cake class – ‘Cheeky Chimp’ on the 3rd July, as I type we still have spaces but they are booking up very quickly…..so if you’d like to join us, please don’t leave it too long!
