Yes, light aqua is one of this summers cool colour trends and such a pretty colour, team it with Tiffany blue or pair it with green florals, lavender or even orange to help make it POP. I’ve found quite a few good colour mood boards on the web, but I think this one really shows the colour well.
If you’re looking for inspiration, ideas or accessories for an Aqua wedding take a look at: favour ideas (home of the mood board above).
Blues can sometimes be a difficult wedding cake colour to work with, however one way round this, I like, is to use Cake Jewellery for the decoration. My Sparkling Ocean cake, which some of you may have see in Cake Craft and Decoration Magazine last September is a good example:
Instructions for this cake are now available as a download from our online shop
But back to aqua, to help you achieve this seasons cool colour successfully, we’ve just added Ice blue wires to our 0.5mm and 0.315mm coloured craft wire ranges. Click here to see the wires we stock. Team these with pearls and Swarovski crystals to help get the look.
Have fun experimenting and let us know how you get on…that’s what blogging is all about!

I have to make a wedding cake shortly that will consist of three ‘Tiffany’ boxes in the lovely Tiffany aqua colour. Any ideas where I can get the colour for the sugarpaste please?
Love the blog idea, I find your designs inspiring and it’s good to be able to be in touch with other ‘fans’. Cheers.
Hi Suzanne
Sounds a fantastic cake! If you are looking for ready coloured sugarpaste then the best match for Tiffany aqua is manufactured by M & B of London the colour guide on their website is pretty accurate and you can order directly from them. If you wish to colour your own sugarpaste then I suggest either Squires Kitchen Gentian paste colour or the Sugarflair iced blue both of which we stock.
Hope this helps
Good luck with your cake
