How do I change cake recipe quantities?

I keep being asked how to adapt/scale a cake recipe to bake a larger or smaller cake. It’s not difficult and instructions are given in both my ‘Cakes to Inspire and Desire’ and ‘Celebrate with a cake!’ books! Below however is the chart you will need:

Cheeky chimp – novelty cake class

Well I think a very enjoyable day was had by all on Friday’s cheeky chimp cake carving workshop.  I certainly enjoyed helping all the students achieve a cake that they were proud to take home.

The class was to introduce the students to the art of carving cake, something that many feel frightened of even attempting!

Corian cake boards – now in stock

Many of you that have seen my wonky cake dvd have been asking about the corain work board that I use. The company where I bought mine, many years ago, no longer supply corian so we are delighted to announce that we have found a local manufacturer to supply us and that our first delivery of stock has just arrived.
