Dragon wins Iconic cake competition

What a lovely surprise to find out that my dragon cake has won the Cakes and Sugarcraft magazine’s iconic cakes competition – I’m so thrilled and delighted.

The magazine also  described me as “one of the UK’s best-loved cake decorators” which is very gratifying.

Lindy's Dragon – the iconic cake winner

Kiwi Rachel’s Quick Chocolate Cake!

This cake truly deserves a much more glamorous name. I have been baking it since my mother taught me the recipe in the 1980s, an eager teenage cook desperate to emulate my mother’s glorious creations! It has a certain nostalgia in our family appearing at all birthdays and special events through the decades to this very day. A versatile sponge that works equally well iced simply, served with a cup… Continue reading

All that glitters is … Lindy’s Cake Jewellery Class! Six plain cakes covered in white sugarpaste arrived at Lindy’s workshop this morning… six stunning jewelled cakes left this afternoon.

Cat Novelty Cake Workshop

‘This is the perfect day out’ remarked a student on this ever popular novelty cake course. The cat cake is an excellent course for the beginner to intermediate sugarcrafter. Lindy got things started by getting the students to cover their cake boards. The ladies used lovely shades of pinks & purples, the perfect background for a white cat! Then the fun really begins with the carving and shaping of the cat… Continue reading
