What a lovely surprise to find out that my dragon cake has won the Cakes and Sugarcraft magazine’s iconic cakes competition – I’m so thrilled and delighted.
The magazine also described me as “one of the UK’s best-loved cake decorators” which is very gratifying.
If you are not familiar with Cakes and Sugarcraft, over the last 5 issues of the magazine has looked back over its first 100 issues and chosen one cake from each issue. Readers were then asked to vote for their favourite cake from the 25 featured and then their favourite from the 5 finalists.
I am amazed…. my dragon recieved nearly received 50 % of the votes, so thank you to everyone who voted.
Instructions for my dragon have now been reprinted in the current issue of the magazine – Issue 107, there is also an interview with me where I’m asked how I first became interested in sugarcraft and how my career has flourished since my first steps – so if you want to know more or you fancy creating my dragon cake yourself ,why not treat yourself to a copy!
