Crown wedding Cake
The addition of a separator to a wedding cake gives the cake height and elegance. Many of these cakes use only one separator but if a really tall cake is required then two or more is added to a design.
Hearts:
Hearts are a very popular choice of decoration for wedding cakes at the moment. The examples below demonstrate different ways of using them in a design.

Wedding Venues:
Sometimes a wedding venue can inspire a cake design.
The wedding cake on the far right was designed for a wedding reception at Clearwell Castle, in the Forest of Dean. As you can see, if you click on the cake to enlarge it, Lindy has used the turrets from the castle plus gothic patterns to decorate the cake. The Hampden House wedding cake on the right was inspired by the wall decoration in the dinning room where the wedding breakfast was held. Cake for Hampden House wedding Wall detail at Hampden House
Autumn Weddings:
Lindy loves the colours of autumn and for those of you that are brave enough to use these colours there are all sorts of design possibilities:
The 'Art Deco Trees' wedding cake was inspired my the ceramic painter Clarice Cliff, it was a cake that Lindy really enjoyed creating and as you can see below the bride was thrilled.
"Well what can I say other than 'Masterpiece'. I was so pleased with the cake and it set the whole event off brilliantly and I think nearly everyone commented on it. An uncle of AJs actually collects Clarice Cliff and spotted the cake straight away (we didn't know he was a collector!). Anyway I think our company events organiser is going to contact you at some point next year! Thanks again for an outstanding job of everything I had hoped for and more!"

'Lucy's Scrolls' was created in October 2003 for Lindy's sister's wedding. Her colour theme was orange and deep red, she carried mango calla lilies in her bouquet and her bridesmaid wore deep red with touches of gold. The decoration on the sides of the cake where taken from Indian temple decorations as she had met her husband whilst travelling overland to India. A truly East meets West wedding cake!
