This is not an edible product but it is increasing being used by cake decorators for decorations and models that do not touch the cake, as once it has dried it is very light weight and virtually unbreakable. The paste, which contains no toxins or resins, is made from rice and potato flour plus a glue so its sticks to itself and not your hands.

It is soft and easy to handle and used by Lindy to make her bride and groom cake toppers and the wired snowflakes in her forthcoming book 'Cakes to Inspire and desire'.

200g Artista Soft/Hearty - White £

200g Artista soft/Hearty deluxe - white £

This paste can be rolled thinner than the above so is ideal for creating fabric effects. Lindy likes to mix it half in half with the basic white Artista soft to give a more pliable paste, one that doesn't crack so easily when it dries.

50g Intermixable primary pigments - £

you will need to add white to these to obtain the correct consistency to the paste
