The 'wonky' cake shape lends itself to all kinds of decoration, and is especially suited to personalised designs, as there is a larger surface area to be decorated than on a stacked cake of the same size.

'The Winsley Cake,' on the left, is an excellent example of personalisation - the base tier, the brides tier, takes the brides wedding dress embroidery for the side pattern plus lots of small shopping bags to represent her love of shopping. The middle tier, the grooms tier, represents his sporting interests. The top tier is for the couple - the flowers, in the colours of the bridesmaid's dresses, represent the garden they were creating together. The signpost points to places that are important to them and in this example the couple are dressed as they would be at home rather than in their wedding attire.

A 'Wonky' cake can be as many tiers as you wish, shown below are examples of two, three and four tier versions, but there is nothing stopping you having more!! Each tier is covered separately allowing you to have as many flavours as there are tiers.
