I enjoy the design challenges that making original novelty cakes present. Be it to create a cake replica, of for example a car or motorbike, to stylise a flower or sun, or create an imaginary animal such as my dragon. |

Like all my cake designs, the colour of celebration cakes is very important, even it is just white and gold as in the art deco heart. |

| Certainly a challenge, but one I enjoy. You can find instructions on how I make my figures in my Hobby Cakes book, plus many more examples of how to use figures on cakes. |
| In the above examples I have created realistic faces that are designed to resemble their recipients.The character figures below however have simpler fun faces that work just as well! |
