Inspire:

Lindy’s cakes and cookie designs have  a worldwide reputation for being unique and eye-catching.

Why:

Let Lindy show you a selection of her ‘ trade secrets’  so you too can create fabulous edible creations to impress your family and friends. Take this opportunity to experiment with techniques on a small scale and find out which ones you love and where your natural abilities lie.

Who:

Mug cookies – so chic!

This class is suitable for all levels of sugarcrafter,  but a little prior knowledge will ensure you gain the most out of your day. If you are an experienced sugarcrafter this workshop will help you take your skills to the next level. Lindy will encourage you to work at your own pace and your own level on this workshop and she will be on hand to give you personal expert guidance as and when needed.  Lindy’s  workshop team will also be available  to assist and support you during your day with us.

What the course will cover:

fabric flowers on a cupcake

Fabric flowers – beautiful.

On this workshop Lindy will teach you a range of  techniques including: Embossing using ready made embossers and stencils,  creating stylish fabric flowers using rolling pins to add texture  and cutters to create shape and finally the technique you have all been asking for – brush embroidery - so stunning, this technique can be done using just one colour as in Lindy’s examples or if you are feeling a little more adventurous you could try using a number of colours for a true embroidered look! You may choose to work with both cookies and cupcakes, or one or the other, it’s up to you.

What you can expect:

Embossed welly – so eye catching!

This class is technique based, Lindy will demonstrate exciting sugarcraft skills for you to try. You will have plenty of time to practice  these techniques in the class. Our workshops are fun, informative and supportive. You will be taught by Lindy herself who is recognised as one of the most exciting contemporary experts in sugarcraft. We pride ourselves on our ability to make our students feel at ease and encouraged, giving assistance where needed and space when not. You will end the day having created your very own collection of decorated cookies and cupcakes. You will have gained valuable techniques and tips for use in all aspects of your sugarcraft. We want you to have fun, learn a lot and become a cakefriend of Lindy’s Cakes.

What our students say:

“What a super day! I have simply fallen in love with brushwork embroidery and it is so good to learn with Lindy and the team close at hand for support! Thank you all so much” Muriel Lawry

“My thanks to you for a wonderful day on Friday. Thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills and meeting a lovely group of equally enthusiastic ‘students’. The day flew by but it was worth all the effort to come from Dublin. I already have an order for 50 dresses!!!”
