Who teaches?
Our very own Lindy Smith! World renowned for her designs, writing and teaching Lindy is a highly experienced and talented contemporary cake designer and sugarcrafter. Recognised for her exquisite attention to detail and eye for colour, Lindy is passionate about her art and brings a fresh modern look to sugarcraft design.

How many students per class?
No more than 10 students in any one class.

When do you hold classes?
We hold classes on most Fridays during UK school term time, but exact dates do depend on Lindy’s availability – she loves teaching but has to fit in many commitments into her busy schedule!!!!

Where are the classes located?
Aston Clinton Baptist Church Hall, Aylesbury, Bucks HP22 5EX
If you need directions or train information please click here. N.B. If you are travelling from London, usually the best route is London Marylebone to Wendover on the Chiltern line, which takes about 50 minutes, our classes are then only a 10 minute taxi ride away.

What times are your classes?
Classes run from 10am – 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break. We ask you to arrive 10 minutes early so that the class can start on time at 10am sharp.

How much does a class cost?
£145 per day (including VAT)

Are refreshments included?
We provide you with all the nourishment you require for the day:
Tea and coffee when you arrive, mid morning refreshments often including cake, water with lunch and another hot drink during the afternoon.
A delicious light lunch will be freshly prepared for you with sweet and luxurious fruit to follow, which comes straight from Covent Garden via local distributors Sycamore Services.
What we offer is seasonal. To illustrate here is one of our summer selections: Spanish tortilla, fresh tomato, mozarella and basil salad, a rocket leaf salad with dressing, succulent strawberries, watermelon, grapes, beautiful sweet cherries and medjool dates.
There will be no need to stop off at the service station on the way! You will be well nourished with a Lindy’s lunch!

What will I need to bring?
Prior to attending your class we will send you a comprehensive information pack which includes a list of all the materials and equipment required for the day. Most of our students have built up a collection of equipment and prefer to use their own, however if you do not have items that are required you can purchase them from us via our pre-order sheet. You will receive a 10% discount off pre-ordered items. Your order will be ready for you upon arrival. It may be that you are new to sugarcraft so some equipment can be borrowed on the day just let us know in advance so we can be prepared for this.

How can I pay?
If you would like to book a place on one or more of these workshops please pay by one of the following methods:

Please click on the appropriate “BOOK NOW” button underneath the current class of your choice, this will take you to our online shop where you can then go to the checkout and fill in all your contact details and pay for the workshop.
Please note that if a course is full you will be unable to book, please contact us, see form below, if you wish your name to be added to our waiting list.

Please send to: Lindy’s Cakes Ltd, Unit 2, Station Approach, Wendover, Buckinghamshire HP22 6BN together with details of the workshop(s) you wish to attend, your name, postal address, email and phone number(s). Please make cheques payable to Lindy’s Cakes Ltd.

We have many students who travel long distances to be with us.

Firstly we suggest that you read the individual class pages for the classes that you may be interested in, then if you are still uncertain as to whether a class is suitable for your skill level and experience, we are more than happy to advise you by email or by telephone.
